AAEC-SWC Startup Innovation Challenge

“AAEC-SWC Startup Innovation Challenge” edition 2019 is a contest organized by AACE (African Alliance for Electronic Commerce) on the sidelines of the 7th edition of the international conference on one-stop shops. This conference will be held from 17 to 19 September 2019 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, under the theme “Unlocking the potential of e-commerce and optimizing the logistics chain of landlocked countries”.

THE CHALLENGE OUR PHILOSOPHY

Age

The laureates will have The founder of the project or company must not be over 40 years old.

Maturity of the project

The project can be at the idea stage or a startup created in the last two years.

Innovative nature of the project

Your project does not necessarily contain a revolutionary innovation involving a total transformation. It can be incremental, by improving an existing technology, product or service, or even a way of working.

Nationality

The Challenge is open free of charge to any natural or legal person (startup) who is a national of one of the AACE member countries.

Impact on international trade

The project must propose a solution that addresses a problem related to the international logistics chain, exports of African producers.

Feasibility or development potential

Projects must be feasible if one is at the idea stage, and have the potential to be set up and deployed in your country.

AAEC-SWC Startup Innovation Challenge “Edition 2019 (hereinafter referred to as the” Challenge “) is an international competition that aims to identify, award and accompany the best projects that aim to improve international trade operations.

This Challenge is not random for the determination of the finalists and winners. The Regulations define the rules applicable to the Challenge.

SELECTION CRITERIA

A prize pool of 6,000 euros is planned for the winners and distributed as follows:

  • 3,000 euros to the winner N ° 1
  • 2,000 euros to the winner N ° 2
  • 1,000 euros to the winner N ° 3

Supported

The transportation and accommodation costs of the winners for participation in the SWC will be borne entirely by the Organizer.

STand

The laureates will have

  • A branded shared stand has their effigy
  • One session during the conference to present the projects for which they were selected

THE GREAT STEPS

The substance and the clarity of the file are essential criteria that make it possible to evaluate the ability of the idea or the startup to deploy.

Submission of applications

The application period will be from 10th July 2019 at 10am (GMT + 1) to 10 September 2019 at 10am (GMT + 1).

Selecting folders

Each file is evaluated according to the criteria defined in the rules. The top 10 will be pre-selected and made available on the conference site. the two (2) best projects of the 10 applications will be selected.

Publication of results

At the end of the selection phase, the list of selected finalists will be communicated by e-mail to each of them. The list of finalists will also be available on the Site on August 31, 2019.

Invitation of laureates

Each laureate will receive an invitation for their participation in the 7th edition of the International Conference on Single Windows from 17 to 19 September 2019 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Awards

The laureates will receive their prize at the end of the presentation of the projects for which they have been selected.
