Statistician and economist, with over 20 years of experience in the coaching of the private sector,
economic development, trade and regional integration. Mr Touka has contributed to the
establishment of trade-related inrormation networks in Cameroon and in Central African
countries, and for the past 10 years at ECCAS, he has been monitoring and conducting trade
policies and commercial negotiations and regional integration pojects in Africa, in connection
with economic and industrial development issues.
Author of many documents in these domains, notably reports on the situation of trade in Central
Africa, analyses of the impact of the financial crisis of 2008, and commercial negotiations on
Central African economies, Jules Touka has been, for the past 2 years, a major player of the
promotion of trade in Central Africa,  coodinating a regional project aimed at effectively assisting
the countries of the region in building on the Trade Facilitation Agrwement.
