Mr. Fredrick Omamo is presently the Ecommerce Operational Integration Expert at the Universal
Postal Union’s International Bureau, Bern, Switzerland. He is also the Project Manager of UPU’s
Ecom@Africa project, an initiative that aims at establishing an integrated cross-border e-
commerce ecosystem provided by postal operators through physical ecommerce hubs interfaced
with online e-commerce platforms via a suite of innovative UPU standards and IT tools. His key
role is to develop, implement and manage projects that would position the posts as key enablers
and facilitators of trade and ecommerce. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration
and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences. His work experience spans over 20 years, in the
public and private sector, and at national and international levels, cutting across technology,
strategy, products development, markets development, trade facilitation, and e-commerce
domains.
