Ms Vyara Filipova works as Technical Attaché at the WCO Department of Compliance and Facilitation.

She joined WCO Secretariat in April 2016 and is in charge of issues related to trade facilitation. Her portfolio includes transit, the Revised Kyoto Convention (RKC), customs conventions on containers, WCO work for the development of a data format related to non-intrusive controls, and customs’ relief role in case of natural disasters. She provides technical assistance and capacity building services to WCO member administrations on issues related to transit, RKC and relief consignments.

Before joining WCO Secretariat, Ms Filipova had spent over 15 years at the headquarters of the Belgian customs administration.
